Become a Firefighter
At Alliance Fire and Rescue, our volunteer firefighters are committed individuals who step in during community emergencies, including fires, accidents, and medical crises. When you serve as a volunteer firefighter in Red Lion, PA, you receive the specialized training needed to handle a wide range of situations safely and effectively. Beyond their emergency response roles with the Red Lion fire company, our members also participate in vital community outreach, fire safety education, and local fundraising efforts. Their dedication to helping others makes them true heroes right here in our community.
Junior Firefighter
Junior firefighters play a crucial role in the fire department by helping with a variety of tasks that support the team. Through hands-on training and guidance, they actively assist in firefighting operations, maintain equipment, and take part in community events. Along the way, they gain important skills in fire safety, collaboration, and leadership, setting the foundation for future careers as professional firefighters.
Fire Police
A volunteer fire police officer plays a key role in maintaining safety at emergency scenes and managing traffic during fire department activities. They control traffic, establish secure perimeters, and assist with crowd management, collaborating closely with law enforcement and other first responders. Their commitment to public safety and community service makes them an essential part of the fire department team.
Administration
A volunteer administrative support member is crucial to the efficient operation of the fire company by offering vital administrative assistance. Their behind-the-scenes contributions help ensure the fire department runs smoothly, enabling firefighters to concentrate on their lifesaving responsibilities.
Headquartered in Red Lion Borough, Alliance Fire and Rescue Services, Inc. is the merged venture of Leo Independent Fire Engine Company Number 1 and the Union Fire Department of Felton in South Central Pennsylvania. Incorporated in December of 2019 as a 100% volunteer department, we proudly provide primary fire and rescue coverage to 6 local municipalities.

As a Red Lion fire department, Alliance Fire and Rescue Services operates 5 pieces of fire apparatus and 4 support vehicles across two strategic fire stations. Station 1, "The Leo Station," serves as our headquarters and is located at 201 W. Broadway in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. ​ Our second station, "The Union Station," is located at 61 Main Street in Felton, PA 17322.
